Jooyoung OH
Jooyoung Oh is a research-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans over a decade, exploring the intersections of science, technology, environment, culture, and personal identity. With a background in fine art, design, and engineering, Jooyoung bridges scientific inquiry and digital art forms, using innovative technological applications to expand artistic expression. She holds a degree in Visual Art from Hongik University and pursued advanced studies at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), where she specialized in AI development, working with large-scale visual data and artificial cognitive models to explore the relationship between art and technology.
Jooyoung’s work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as Ars Electronica, ISEA, SIGGRAPH, Hyundai Motorstudio x New Museum Rhizome, Nam June Paik Art Center, and the National Taiwan Museum of Art. She has received notable awards, including the IEEE BRAIN WINNER (2019) at Ars Electronica, the Da Vinci Creative Award, and the ART+SCIENCE COLLIDE Grand Prize. She has also served as an invited jury member at A.MAZE 2022, a committee reviewer at SIGGRAPH Asia 2024, and an Art Jury at ISEA 2025.
